Michigan has a new fencing program for contractors.
The state’s Department of Transportation says the new permit program will give contractors the ability to apply to build fences in New Hampshire and Maine.
Under the program, contractors will be required to demonstrate they can design and construct fencing on a level playing field.
The DOT says the program is designed to be “competitive with other states and municipalities” and will allow the agency to track and report the costs of fencing.
The permit process can take as little as two weeks, according to DOT.
